What propeller is recommended for X2812 900KV?The test report used 9450 (9x4.5) propeller. For 8" builds, we recommend 8x4 or 8x5 two-blade or 8x4.5 three-blade props. For fixed-wing applications, a folding propeller of similar size works well.
What battery voltage should I use?Voltage range is 2~6S. Our test report used 11.1V (≈3S) for efficiency testing. For maximum power (950W), use 4S~6S (14.8V~22.2V). The motor is very efficient at lower throttle settings regardless of voltage.
What is the maximum continuous current?For continuous operation on 4S-6S, we recommend ≤20A (≈60-70% throttle). Brief peaks up to 40A are acceptable for takeoff and punch-outs.
What makes X2812 different from X3112?The X2812 has a smaller 28mm stator (vs 31mm on X3112), making it lighter (50g vs 91g). It's optimized for 8" props and lower power (950W vs 1545W), ideal for smaller FPV drones and sub-250g builds. X3112 is for 9-10" applications.
